You just have to be careful what mods you do. If you add a cam, you might as well do the heads also. After adding 100 horsepower you're going to have to beef up the transmission, after that the rear end. Oh yeah, don't forget to add subframes so your car's frame doesn't get bent. You see what I'm getting at! If you enter this hobby and plan on getting in the racing ends of things you better have a lot of cash. I don't care if you buy a clunker and end up suping that up, in the long run you'll look back and see how much money you spent. Belive me it goes fast!
That's why my favorite mods are petty little things like exhaust, headers, intake, air filter, and a nice set of rims. You can really boost your cars appearance and horsepower with just a few uncostly mods like those. Rims really make a car, they can add a lot of flash to your car, espeically if you have your rims high polished or chrome plated. Exhaust on the other hand is a must, you really don't have to do headers unless you want a deeper sound and pick up an extra set of horsepower. A nice cat back exhaust will give your car a nice tone, telling everybody that your car means business, like it has a little kick to it. And intake and air filter just helps your car breathe better. Cars are like a people, the more oxygen and food we consume, more energy we will have.
