27 new innovations are presented on this new experimental safety vehicle made by Mercedes-Benz. Innovations ranging from more clever use and placement of airbags to simple reflectors. As you can see in this picture of this car, the reflector strips run a lot longer down the side. There are infrared cameras mounted within the car's headlight clusters to prevent accidents with pedestrians and animals. Also featured is a Braking Bag, a large, rubber-footed, airbag-deployed skid plate that lifts the front of the car off the ground 100 milliseconds before a frontal collision, slowing the car enough to lessen both damage and impact speed. Seems as though Mercedes is way ahead of the game compared to its competitors.
