2011 Mustang GT to get 5.0 V8
Still no confirmed sources, but the rumors around the web are that the 2011 Ford Mustang GT may receive the old 5.0 liter V8. Of course the new 5.0 liter will be pumping a lot more horsepower to the rear wheels compared to the 5.0 liter engines in the old Foxbody Mustangs back in the 80s. It is also said that that Ford has already knicknamed the engine "Coyote." I think that's a cool name to give the engine if you ask me, the engine will replace the old 4.6 liter V8 engine. The 5.0 will be an all aluminum 32-valve 5.0-liter V-8 would produce around 400 horsepower and 400 ft-lbs. of torque. Just in time to compete with GM's new Camaro with the LS3 and Mopar's Dodge Challenger RT.
